Art Direction, UX & Design
#24HourRugbyPeople was a campaign for the 2015 Rugby World Cup, owning the fact that kiwis would be up all through the night to watch the All Blacks play over in England. I designed the site for this campaign where hashtagged instagram and Facebook posts were gathered into a gallery using Shuttlerock. The site also acted as a utility for people to view game schedules, scores and highlights.
When wireframing the site, there was rumour that there could also be the need to have a system to book reminders for upcoming games. With this in mind I wireframed up all possible scenarios for the site, making sure there was room if it was needed last second.
I created custom shields for each country based off their uniform rather than their national flag, making it easier to spot your team.
Counting down to the World Cup kick off the site didn't feature the Shuttlerock gallery and consisted of a countdown timer with the game schedule. Sadly the system to book reminders for upcoming games never eventuated.
The live site had the Suttlerock gallery in it where people could vote for their favourite images to be in the next SKY TV ad. It also had a scrubber to see the next upcoming game and also the previous games highlights. As the user scrolled left to right, we heroed random images from the gallery showing the fans commitment to the Rugby World Cup.
I am available for fulltime, contract and freelance work.
