REDESIGN OF THE STIHLSHOP SITE

Stihl Shop came to us for a complete redesign of their website and wanted the redesign to be future proof for when they launch a full ecommerce store. The result has a major focus on assisting users to easily find their ideal product, an updated UX that streamlines browsing and also recommends products based on users’ viewing habits.

FEATURED BRANDS

Stihl wanted to show that they don’t just supply Stihl products but in fact a range of other brands that share the same values as Stihl; anything from lawn mowers to barbeques.

ORGANISING THE CONTENT

The existing site was jumbled and out of alignment due to the varying sizes of the product thumbnails on display. After much trial and error I found a happy compromise for the product thumbnails so they would always be consistent and the same width and height across all categories.

FINAL DESIGNS

The final designs have been designed as a full ecommerce web experience across desktop and devices with the fallback of non-ecommerce for the soft launch. This ensures that the site’s foundations are future proof for when the site does go full ecommerce.
