Illustration
We Compost ran a campaign over a weekend in 2014 and needed some illustrations to promote it. I illustrated an A2 poster and some social posts to kick up some awareness before the big event. The weekend was a huge success and even won an award.

Initial sketches varied in style but I knew I wanted to produce vector artwork for the final piece. After putting together some ideas I norrowed it down to one style to use throughout the duration of the campaign.
We Compost green was to be the core colour for the poster illustration and from there I could choose what I wanted. Being a fan of 90's skate art I went for super bright complimentary colours and settled on these.
Hand drawn style fonts can be hit and miss, and after much searching I decided to hand draw my own type for the headline text of the illustration. The result feels much more natural and sits better with the final art.

This is the A2 poster that got to live in shops and store fronts around auckland leading up to the weekend of the event. It was printed with biodegradable inks on recycled paper.
The social posts that went out covered a wide range of topics and needed various different elements. I had heaps of fun illustrating the various bits of fruit and compost to make up these odds and ends.
I am available for fulltime, contract and freelance work.
