Crafting a new identity for an esteemed Northland law firm

Down-icon

Client: Hammonds Law

Role: UX & UI Design

Year: 2017

I led the design and production of the new Hammonds Law website while freelancing. This involved establishing a new visual direction for the firm and redesigning the existing website to meet their growing needs. I collaborated closely with the practice manager and developer to deliver the final designs on time and on budget.

Identity inspired by the environment

Hammonds wanted to be seen as a local law firm and reflect it's heritage in the area and the community. Imagery from around the local area and community are used throughout the site to create a warm and familiar tone for users.

Warm and inviting

The colour palette is inspired from the imagery to invoke a sense of optimism and warmth. This is contrasted with cooler shades which bring a sense of formality and heritage to the overall visual style.

Welcoming and informative

Incorporating warm imagery and an introduction with a focus on finding services and contacting their office, the homepage is minimal with clear CTA's to help users reach their goal quickly.

Modular page templates

To retain consistency across the various services and staff pages, a solid template structure was designed to allow for quick editing of existing pages and easy addition of new services and staff pages.
